Addiction Recovery
Many survivors of child rape or molestation have had to navigate well into adulthood without knowing exactly why the felt the way they felt. Most had to deal with intense feelings of shame, guilt, and humiliation. The pain and betrayal caused by their abuse was too much to deal with on the surface. So, most of the time unknowingly, many fell into the trap of addiction or self destruction. On this page we explore some proven methods of addiction recovery that have helped many survivors beat their own addictions and turn their life around for the better.
When Hope Seems Lost
We do not know the number of individuals whose lives ended as a result the unbearable painful memories of the rapes and sexual assaults committed upon them as children. We do know that it is many and that one is too many. We also want to help in any way we can to keep a single one from being added to that list. This page offers some information on major depression as well as resources and information on suicide prevention. Every life has value but we know from hearing these stories that every person has not been treated by those entrusted to them as if they had value. We remember with great honor and sorrow those who have gone before us. We want each visitor to know they have dignity and purpose and it is our intention to treat each individual as such, even if the rest of society makes the mistake of not recognizing that.
